THE Six Nations have been forced to slash the price of sponsoring their tournament by a staggering 60 per cent, from £15m-ayear to £6m.
The Rugby Paper can reveal the full extent of the depreciation behind the announcement of Guinness as title sponsors, a deal made only months after the organisers were telling prospective backers: ‘Not a penny less than £15m’.
