Development Cup? Not according to Worcester Warriors

HOW ironic that Sale coach Neil Briggs thought the Premiership Cup was “a development competition” after his side were put to the sword by Worcester last week.
It could have been if the RFU/PRL had any lateral thinking and agreed a joint competition with the Championship.
Six pools of four with best two runners up for quarter-finals and bigger crowds at Championship grounds to see how they perform against the fringe Premiership/Academy players.
Will be interesting to see the attendance at Championship Cup matches, other than season ticket holders seeing the same teams yet again....
