At a time when jobs are being cut across the sport, I find it strange that the CEO of the RFU is planning to increase funding to what is a very minor part of the game.
I know I am trending on dangerous ground, but when the RFU are on a costcutting exercise that has seen at least 62 people loose their jobs, why would Steve Brown indicate the potential of further funding to pay for women’s professional contracts?
