Bird flies for Essex to book their final place

THURROCK’s Henry Bird inspired Essex to come from behind to overcome Buckinghamshire and book their place in Sunday’s Division three Bill Beaumont Cup final. Buckinghamshire got off to a fast start and raced into a 10-0 lead after just tenminutes when first Alex Shearer went over for a try and then Nick Carbey followed up with a second.
