Citing officer to check gay slur

A SALE player could be in trouble with the authorities after Worcester’s Jamie Shillcock alleged he made a homophobic slur.
The fly-half told referee Andrew Jackson about a possible incident early in the second half but neither boss could shed any further light on the matter.
Sharks’ director of rugby Steve Diamond said: “I’ve not heard anything. I saw a Worcester player elbow Ben Curry under the chin and nothing was done about that – maybe the citing officer will do something – but, as for a homophobic slur, no, I didn’t hear anything.
