Graham Rowntree leaves Harlequins after two seasons

The British & Irish Lions coach is stepping down due to personal reasons, Harlequins confirm

Harlequins forwards coach Graham Rowntree has left the Londoners after two season due to personal reasons.
A ‘popular figure’ at Twickenham Stoop, the 47-year-old joined the Aviva Premiership side in the aftermath of England’s disastrous World Cup in 2015.
It has been a difficult season for Quins who followed up a sixth-place finish in Rowntree’s first season with their worst season in the top flight since they were relegated to the Championship in 2005.
A statement said: “Rowntree has been forwards coach at for the past two seasons and he has been a very prominent and popular figure in the rugby department.
“Harlequins would like to thank Graham for his great contribution and absolute commitment during his time at the club.
“The club is incredibly grateful to Graham for all that he has given Harlequins and wishes him well for the future.”
Rowntree’s exit leaves a position open among director of rugby Paul Gustard’s backroom staff, with Adam Jones still in the infancy of his coaching career having been made assistant forwards coach after retiring at the end of the season.
