Stortford dig deep to pull off festive victory

A BATTLE of attrition between two very closelymatched sides produced only three scores in the first half, before it burst into life during the second period.
The first half saw only an early try to Nick Hankin, converted by George Cullen, followed by two penalties to OEs’ Tom White.
But the second half was a very different affair. After OEs scored a smart interception try by Max Wilkins with only four minutes gone, White’s conversion took them six points ahead – causing Stortford to throw caution to the wind.
