GREGORY Smith’s lastgasp penalty snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for Fylde as they overcame Old Albanians at the death.
Smith’s clean strike from distance gave the visitors the win in a keenly-fought encounter in St Albans.
The fly-half had kicked well all afternoon, sending two penalties flying between the posts in the first quarter of an hour to open up a 6-0 lead for Fylde.
