AN IMPROVED performance from Blackheath saw them outscore their opponents five tries to four, while at the same time leapfrogging them to go second in National League One.
Mark Cooke picked up a loose pass to send Mark Cooke across for the opening score for Blackheath.
Joe Tarrant then found a beauty of a touch kick moments later and the visitors dithered at the lineout to concede a scrum.
Cooke again benefitted to go in for a second and establish a 14-0 lead after just 12 minutes.
