Four Scots summoned to court after incident at train station with Eddie Jones

Four Scotland fans will appear before magistrates next month for allegedly abusing England head coach Eddie Jones as he made his way to Manchester via train from England’s Six Nations defeat to Scotland at Murrayfield in February.
The four men, aged between 22 and 25, have been charged by British Transport Police for using threatening or abusive words and will appear at a Manchester courthouse on May 16.
Aboard the train, it is alleged Jones was called a ‘balding c***’ by one or more of the party when travelling alone from England’s 25-13 defeat.
The Australian subsequently confirmed: “For me to travel on public transport, I thought was OK,” Jones said.
“I’m a human being. I don’t consider myself any different from anyone else.
“But I’ll make sure I won’t in future. It’s as simple as that.”
“It’s part of the challenge. As an Australian coaching England, there were always going to be challenges and that’s just one of them.”
The 58-year-old was on his way to Old Trafford the morning after the Calcutta Cup clash, where he was invited to be a guest of Sir Alex Ferguson.
