Let’s be honest and cut through all this guff about welfare

I AM disgusted by the comments and antics of the ‘powers that be’ in regard to Lions tours. Shame on them.
I cannot be the only one who sees through their guff. Player welfare? Please!
A very admirable goal as players do play a stupid amount of games, and the fact burnout/serious injuries aren’t more common can only be credit to physios etc. But the Lions are once every four years.
Where are their efforts beforehand, say a max of three game before a mandatory rest? None, because they don’t really care. All that matters is money. Dare I say, this is just a power play ...
