Chief Thomas to go from player to coach

EXETER’S long-standing scrum-half Haydn Thomas confirmed he will be retiring from playing at the end of the season to take up a coaching role in the club’s academy.
The 34-year-old, who made 211 appearances for the Chiefs, said: “I’ve had 16 years of professional rugby and it’s nice to be able to finish your career on your own terms.
“What I’ve achieved, especially here at the Chiefs, is something I’m very proud of.”
