Isn’t player welfare still a hot topic?

PREMIERSHIP clubs want 50 per cent of the takings to secure the release of their players for the proposed out-of-window Test against New Zealand next November. With the All Blacks also demanding 50 per cent of the same takings, that would not appear to leave as much as a dime for the RFU.
They will, no doubt, find a way to make it worthwhile. Quite where that leaves one of the burning issues of the game is not clear.
