MERTHYR secured a first win in Tier One as they came away from the Bridgefield with a bonus point victory over Bedwas.
Having dumped Bedwas out of the WRU National Cup last week, the Ironmen proved it was no fluke as they romped to a convincing victory through tries from Justin James, Craig Locke, Richard Carter and Nathan Trevett.
It took just 12 minutes for Merthyr to score the opening points, with former Llanelli scrum-half James touching down in his first start for the club.
