Bath’s Heathcote out for six weeks

Bath fly-half Tom Heathcote will miss six weeks of action after injuring his knee against London Welsh last weekend.
It was feared the 20-year-old would be sidelined for longer after he was helped from the pitch with medial collateral ligament damage during Bath’s 40-31 pre-season win.
Bath head coach Gary Gold said: “It’s disappointing for him and for us, but we have Sam Vesty, Olly Barkley and Ollie Devoto fit and all very capable of playing fly-half when needed.”
Bath’s current injury list includes Rob Webber, Josh Ovens, Ryan Caldwell, David Wilson, Simon Taylor, Ben Williams and World Cup winner Stephen Donald.
