Hibbard pens new Gloucester deal

Gloucester have extended the contract of hooker Richard Hibbard.
The Welshman joined the Cherry and Whites from the in 2014 and has gone on to make 57 appearances in just over two seasons.
Hibbard has won 38 caps for and played in every test of the successful 2013 tour of .
The 32-year-old becomes the most recent player to re-sign with the club, following in the footsteps of Ben Morgan, Henry Purdy, Billy Burns and Willi Heinz.
He said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time with and, once the club approached me about extending my stay, it was an easy decision to make.
“I feel I’ve improved my game since I arrived. The is a tough league, there are no easy games and I think that’s actually benefitted me as a player.
“I love playing at Kingsholm, the club and the supporters have been terrific to me and I’m really happy that I’ll be staying and playing my part in what we hope will be a successful period in the club’s history.”
Director of Rugby David Humpreys added: “Richard is another key signing for us. We knew we were bringing in an international calibre hooker when he signed, and he’s been a very big part of our forward effort ever since he arrived.
“He brings a wealth of experience and a winning attitude to the side as well as a massive physical presence. We’re very pleased that he’ll be wearing Cherry and White going forward.”
