Premiership Rugby have confirmed that the final of the 2016-17 Anglo-Welsh Cup will be played at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday March 19.
The tournament which sees the 12 Aviva Premiership teams meet the four Welsh Regions returns after a one-year absence, kicking off this weekend.
Harlequins’ Commercial Director Ned Wills added: “Harlequins is proud to be hosting the showpiece event of the Anglo-Welsh Cup for the first time. It is such an important tournament in developing the future stars of our game.
“This is a landmark season for Harlequins as the club celebrates its 150th anniversary and hosting the Anglo-Welsh Final will be another important celebration in this historic year.
The teams have been drawn in four pools with the sides in Pool 1 playing the sides in Pool 4 and the teams in Pool 2 playing the teams in Pool 3 over four weekends.
“The Anglo-Welsh Cup has a crucial place in the rugby calendar and we are delighted to see it back this season,” said Phil Winstanley Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby.
“Many of the players who will be on duty at Twickenham Stadium for England on 12 November against South Africa made their club debuts in the Anglo-Welsh Cup so it is clear how important the tournament is.
“With England winning three out of the last four Under-20s Rugby World Cups it will be fascinating to see some of those players feature in the next fortnight. Many supporters will get the first glimpse of some of the stars of tomorrow, together with players who have already made their debuts playing more senior roles in the quest for Anglo-Welsh Cup silverware.”
