Chris Ashton‘s appeal against the ten-week gouging ban he received last month has been rejected.
The Saracens wing was found guilty of making contact with the eye or eye area of Ulster’s Luke Marshall in the Champions Cup and was subsequently banned for ten-week.
Sarries decided to appeal the suspension but it was rejected by an independent appeal committee today so Ashton will not be able to play until March 28.
