Clermont Auvergne have stated that the three squad members attacked in Millau should return to training in a month.
France internationals Aurelien Rougerie, Julien Pierre and Benjamin Kayser were assaulted on Saturday night by a group of 12 men armed with “machetes, knives and swords.”
Second Row Pierre suffered the most serious injuries, with a laceration to his hip requiring surgery.
The club have, however, declared that the trio should resume fitness training in four weeks time.
