Tavis Knoyle’s season is over after the Gloucester scrum-half was banned for for four weeks for punching Bath No.8 Leroy Houston.
The Welshman was sent off by referee Tim Wigglesworth at the end an ill-tempered West Country and the suspension also means his career at Kingsholm is over.
After struggling to establish himself with the Cherry and White, he will return to Wales next season taking up a contract with the Cardiff Blues.
In the same match, Sila Puafisi was also sent off for a dangerous tackle on Nick Abendanon and he has been handed a week ban.
