Schoolboy threw bottle at West Country derby

Gloucester confirmed a bottle was thrown at referee Tim Wigglesworth and his assistants on Saturday after an ill-tempered West Country derby against at Kingsholm.
The Cherry and Whites, who will be investigated by the after they ended the game with 11 men on the pitch, revealed they identified the school boy who thew the plastic bottle.
“Having looked closely at the available CCTV footage, Rugby have now been able to identify that an empty soft drink bottle was thrown towards the tunnel area from seats occupied by a group of teenage boys on an escorted Rugby tour,” said a statement from the club.
“The individuals, were on a day out, accompanied by their school teachers, which included watching the game.
“Gloucester Rugby would like to stress that the individual involved is neither a member or regular supporter of the club.”
