James Short joins Lodon Wasps on loan

London Wasps have signed winger James Short from Saracens on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
Short, who has been playing recently with Bedford Blues, where he is dual registered, bolsters a Wasps back-line which has been affected by numerous injuries of late, including Christian Wade, Ben Jacobs, Andrea Masi and Hugo Southwell.
Short will provide wing cover for Dai Young’s side for the remainder of the season, an option Young says will allow him to look at players in other positions as well.
He said: “We’ve been very unlucky with injuries to key players in our back-line.
“James is a very experienced Premiership player and adding him to our wing options means a few of our versatile backs could provide backup in others areas as well, so we’re very pleased to bring him in for the rest of the season.”
