Room 101: Martin Nutt – Henley full-back

 Martin Nutt1. Winter
There is no fun in playing or training in the rain, snow, freezing cold and wind in the slightest – especially if you're a back. You're ‘skinned up' to the max with leggings and thermal top and anything else you can lay your hands on to protect yourself from the cold.
Training evenings are by far the worst as every person in the changing room will wait until the very last second to go out and face the elements.
I'm always praying for a quick session, but it never seems to happen.  I think it would be great to play spring to autumn like rugby league. I'm sure players, referees and spectators would all enjoy it more, and, most importantly, it would be mean better rugby!
TRP verdict:  Your winter of discontent is cold comfort to us. You're frozen out
2. Passport Control
Granted, there is a need for passport control. But why does it take so long? You forget how arduous the process is going to be until you turn up at the airport and the reality of long queues confronts you – often at some god-forsaken hour when you're not in the best frame of mind anyway.
I'm sure the limited staff and long queues are there just so you start your holiday on a downer and things can only get better from that point on. UK airports are the worst. While non-EU passengers seem to fly through the queues, you're left shuffling along with your trousers nearly halfway down to your knees after being forced to remove your belt.
TRP verdict:  By a wing and a prayer you've sneaked through to .
3. Motorway Roadworks
Don't you just love them! On the M1 there are countless 50mph zones within close proximity to one another…and for what purpose? Most of the areas supposedly under repair don't seem to have had any work done on them for days or even weeks. As you're left stuck in a queue of slow moving traffic you can't help but think: “Where are the workers?”  You can go past for weeks on end on your way to work without seeing any activity. Wouldn't it be better if they explained what's going on so you're better informed and perhaps more understanding?
TRP verdict:  Hardly cone-troversial, but true nonetheless. You're in.
