All games should be played on grass

LIKE Dale Barker (letters February 1), I detest artificial pitches but he is wrong to think that they are suitable for Rugby League. Widnes have such a pitch and it was universally unpopular when they were in the Super League being responsible for burns and, probably, other injuries.
Is Gloucester’s huge injury list related to their pitch? All games should be played on grass in my view.
