Newcastle relegation question

IN last week’s letters Jeff Gage states that Newcastle should have been relegated last season. That would almost certainly have led to them folding. Why would this have been a good outcome? Why would anyone then want to put their money into the other clubs if they could see it going down the drain as happened with Wasps, London Irish, Worcester and Jersey Reds?
I would love to see Leicester playing Coventry and was disappointed when the Champ clubs withdrew from the cup competition this year.
By all means promote those clubs that can sustain themselves in the Prem and give the...
