Drop-goals deserve more than penalties

WATCHING Adam Hastings’ terrific drop-goal to clinch victory for Gloucester against London Irish last Friday night got me thinking.
Drop-goals are very exciting (when they work), so I believe extra points could be added for successful attempts.
I suggest making them worth four points because more often than not the attempt fails, so awarding one point more than a penalty, rewards the endeavour.
