Ring-fence row is claptrap as the changes will prove

MORE emotive claptrap in the TRP about socalled ring-fencing, with Nick Cain going overboard, talking of the RFU “deliberately scuppering the Championship” and comparing unfavourably the second tier’s extra £14,000 per club funding next season with the £50,000 to £60,000 government grants given to community clubs.
Any such grants were provided, as a oneoff response to Covid 19, to a small number of grassroots clubs, that were required to demonstrate that their financial future was at stake.
They were not doled out, as of right to a bunch of privilege...
