Predictably unpredictable, imperfectly perfect, impatiently patient – Jonny May in his pomp has become a joy to watch and a shining jewel in the England crown.
He probably doesn’t get the kudos he deserves and I’m still not convinced England truly appreciate his try scoring genius but among the fans – currently shouting from their sofas rather than the Grandstand – his stock couldn’t be higher.
