Bored to tears by 5m lineout mauls

AM I the only rugby fan bored to tears with the 5 metre lineout drive? It has become a weapon so well carried by some clubs that the refs may as well give a try and spare us the minute or so of boredom before the inevitable happens.
It is often poorly refereed with players joining in in front of the ball carrier and if it stops they merely spin around giving the defending side no chance.
Make it a ten metre lineout to give the defence a chance, and who knows, sides may try and run the ball.
