Rugby’s radio silence is deafening

I HAVE been looking at what rugby coverage is on the radio during the regular season - and there is not a lot of it! There are three games a round on BT Sport, but usually none on the radio. If there is one, it is usually on 5 Live Sports Extra or Talk Sport 2 which are only broadcast on digital radio and online.
On television, the broadcast is connected to to the referees’ communication system, but on radio they are not which can make listeners feel disconnected.
The rights are currently being negotiated between the Premiership and broadcasters, so I hope more audio rights will be so...
