Mefin ends wait

Honour: Mefin Davies

RE BRENDAN Gallagher’s article about the last time Wales beat New Zealand back in 1953.
I note that the captain was John Gwilliam (No.8) from Gloucester, who died at the age of 93 in 2016.
I don’t know what was said that day but it was over 50 years (2005) before another serving Gloucester player turned out for Wales again, Mefin Davies, the hooker.
