Gatland’s All Blacks tiebreak plan is not so daft after all

WARREN Gatland loves to bowl us a googly from time to time and was having fun with the New Zealand media this week by suggesting that a proposed warmup game for the South Africa-bound 2021 Lions against the Maori – which is definitely being seriously looked at – be upgraded to a full Test against the All Blacks, thus becoming an unofficial tiebreaker for the epic drawn series. a game could be a tiebreaker for anything is, of course ridiculous. For starters how many involved in the two XVs will have featured in the 2017 series?
