Royal occasion: Prince Obolensky scores his wonder try for England against the All Blacks in 1936

ALEXANDER Obolensky has popped up a couple of times recently in – being included in both our 20 Top tries and 20 Top tackles features -so it is right that we should note the 80th anniversary of his death today– March 29 – at the age of just 24 in an accident while training to become an RAF pilot.
