North v South series should replace Cup

HAVING just read a newspaper column by Austin Healey I’d like to share his fascinating idea with Rugby Paper readers.
Mr Healey suggested a new North v South competition along the lines of the Aussie ‘State of Origin’ i.e if you’re born in the North of England you play for the North, and if you’re born in the South you play for the South.
Let’s do away with the Anglo-Welsh Cup and enjoy the added passion and commitment which this North v South competition would create.
