Extra little gem to celebrate Mobbs

I HAVE just read and enjoyed Brendan Gallagher’s article on Edgar Mobbs.
Brendan did not mention the long-held belief that Edgar took a rugby ball with him to the trenches and booted it into “No man’s land”, doubtless crying “up and at ‘em men” as he lead the charge!
This story may well be apocryphal, but it is too good to be ignored. What a man!
The Mobbs’ Memorial match against the Barbarians was not mentioned. Is it still played?
