IN recent editions of The Rugby Paper much of Blindside contained information about nonEnglish players: Morne Steyn, Elton Jantjies, Faf de Klerk and Jono Ross
With the influx of Southern Hemisphere coaches – Johan Ackermann, Matt O’Connor, Todd Blackadder, Gary Gold, Pat Lam, Brendan Venter and Aaron Mauger – and the outgoing of English ones as well as the cutting of three Super Rugby teams, the Premiership is going towards having a greater number of overseas personnel.
If so rugby, in the near future, will be like football teams with very few English coaches and players....
