Swannack at double for Merthyr

DEFENDING champions Merthyr made it 18 wins from 19 in this season’s Welsh Premiership with a 33-7defeat of Bargoed at the Wern.
Full-back Cole Swannack scored twice and was joined on the scoresheet by prop Travis Hawkins, hooker Ellis Shipp and scrum-half Aaron Bolitho.
Ben Jones kicked three conversions and Conor Murphy one.
The Ironmen remain a point clear of Pon- typridd at the top with a game in hand.
Pontypridd, meanwhile, were 29-13 bonus-point winners at relegation-threatened Cardiff Met.
