Ford: I’m sure I can help keep Tigers up

MIKE FORD saw at first hand the size of his task at Leicester Tigers yesterday but insists English rugby’s best-supported club will not go down.
Lancastrian Ford, who has come on board as a consultant and attack coach, watched Tigers ship half a century of points in their 52-20 drubbing by Premiership leaders Exeter at Welford Road.
That left Tigers tenth in the table, just five points above bottom-placed Newcastle Falcons with four matches remaining and not knowing where their next win is coming from.
