More danger in playground than rugby field says expert

DOCTOR Sam Barke, medical director of Return2Play, a leading sports medicine consultancy, says pre-teens are more likely to suffer concussion in the playground than on the rugby field.
Professor Allyson Pollock last week repeated her call to ban tackling from school rugby, claiming that the collision nature of the sport coupled with the drive to increase participation at schools puts children at risk.
