PWR plans for joint British and Irish league

PREMIERSHIP Women’s Rugby have launched a tender process for potential new teams which could see the establishment of the first-ever British and Irish rugby union league.
The PWR has opened an ‘expressions of interest’ process open to clubs across the UK and Ireland in a bid to explore more clubs joining the league.
The PWR, which launched in 2023 following the rebrand of the Premier 15s, currently features nine English teams and the incorporation of teams from other Home Nations would represent the first-ever
