A backwards step

I DO not care that France was England’s best performance of this year’s Six Nations, for the second week running we were in a winning position and blew it, just like in Rome, through terrible discipline. Steve Borthwick must go and nothing that happened in Paris changes that.
I am just relieved that this disastrous and chastening campaign is over. There is no point starting fo actually play when you are sitting fifth in the table and staring down the barrel of our worst-ever finish in the Six Nations. We have gone backwards.
