Whitgift get past St Jo’s to take 7s crown

WHITGIFT were crowned 2026 Ipswich School 7s champions after defeating St Joseph’s College 33-12 at Ealing Trailfinders.
The Schools Cup semi-finalists overcame Brighton 26-12 and defeated the hosts Ipswich 29-7, with just the winners of each group qualifying for a final. St Joseph’s route to the Cup final including a 21-21 draw against Berkhamsted and strong win over Wellington 42-14.
Berkhamsted missed out on the Cup final losing to Finborough 28-17 and were defeated in the Plate final against Hurstpierpoint 27-21.
