Taunton raise £20,000 after big storm

TAUNTON Rugby Club was hit hard by Storm Chandra last week with unprecedented flooding leaving the pitch underwater and the clubhouse severely damaged.
A fundraising appeal was launched with the club facing a £10,000 loss in revenue plus having to spend around £9,000 in the total repairs.
Within a day of the appeal, the original target was smashed – the amount raised on their Justgiving page stands above £20,000.
