Doncaster decide to stop being a full-time operation

DONCASTER Knights have made the decision to cease operating as a full-time operation next season.

The Knights were expected to be pushing for a play-off place this season with their off-field set-up passing the criteria for promotion to the Prem. But on-field results have not met those expectations with the club 11th in the table. The club maintain the move a ‘hybrid model’ does not stop their long-term ambition of making the top flight, but with a reduced playing budget it will be some time before the Yorkshire club can make the step up.
