So sad to see end of Boxing Day duels

LIKE the half-time orange, the magic sponge and the tweed-jacketed referee, a Boxing Day chock-a-block with ferocious local derbies has gone with the wind.
They used to be found nationwide, fixtures bursting with a community pride and passion generated down the decades. Fifty years ago they went at it hammer-and-tongs from Cornwall to Tyneside, all over Wales to the Scottish borderland and beyond.
Boxing Day 1975 featured the usual festive rich pickings:
