BURY St Edmund’s director of rugby James Shanahan believes a mindset shift has driven the club to the sharp end of National Two East.
The Suffolk team sit fourth in the league, just three points away from one of Shanahan’s former club, leaders Old Albanians, within a congested top six which heading into this weekend was separated by just eight points.
And Shanahan claims the squad were looking to win with pragmatism as much as flair.
