Red Roses wing Abby Dow has announced her shock retirement from professional rugby, ending one of the most decorated careers in the women’s game.

Dow, 28, steps away from England duty and the PWR to focus on her engineering career, bringing the curtain down just months after helping the Red Roses lift the World Cup on home soil.
Her final appearance came in September’s 33-13 victory over Canada at Twickenham in front of a world-record crowd of 81,885.
England head coach John Mitchell described Dow as “the best right winger in world rugby at the peak of her powers”.
