Wilson wants to lead the Billingham rise by example

BILLINGHAM’S new skipper Luke Wilson is pleased with their start to the season as they target a long-awaited step away from the National Two North relegation battle.
Wilson’s men came into this weekend in 10th, and although Billingham have had to grind through tough away days and fluctuating form, the inside centre stresses the squad have shown important signs of progress.
He feels their latest success – a dramatic 31-27 comeback win over Rossendale – underlined that resilience.
