NEW Hornets captain Kieran Ward believes his side can upset the odds and push into the National Two West top four this season, rallying his teammates behind the motto: “Why not us?”
Ward, 29, has stepped into the role after taking over from long-serving skipper Courtney Harris, who led the Weston-super-Mare outfit to their highest-ever National League finish last term of sixth.
For the hooker, who first pulled on a Hornets shirt aged eight, it is both a personal honour and a statement of intent for the club.
