Tonga gunning for final spot as they face Japan

Pacific Nations Cup

TONGA take on Japan, and defending champions Fiji face Canada in the semi-finals today in Denver.
Earlier in the day, Samoa and the USA will contest fifth place, with the added incentive of automatic qualification for the 2027 World Cup.
Tonga have already secured RWC qualification following Samoa’s defeat to Fiji last weekend, so can now focus fully on chasing a maiden Pacific Nations Cup. Their best finish remains runners-up in 2011 and 2016.
